What's New

Recent features, improvements, and updates — built in public, often driven by community feedback.

Account security upgrades

Your account is better protected with a batch of security improvements shipped today. You can now see all active sessions in Settings — including which one is your current device — and sign out all other devices with one tap. Removing your authenticator app now requires entering your current code for added protection against unauthorized changes. Change password is also now available directly in Settings. Under the hood we've strengthened platform-level protections across the board.

Videos organized by topic — tool demos now embedded

Finding the right dev content just got way easier. The Videos tab is now organized by topic — scroll through AI/ML, Web Dev, Python, TypeScript, Rust, Security, and more, each section with its own horizontal row of videos. New Demos section: a dedicated feed at the top of the Videos tab showing real demo videos for the tools listed here, sorted newest first. Each demo links directly to the tool it showcases. Tool cards with demo videos now show a purple "Demo" badge. Open any tool listing with a demo and you'll see the video embedded inline, plus a "Watch on Ship It Forge" link to the full video page. Topic pills in the "Your Topics" picker now each show their own color — AI/ML in purple, Python in green, TypeScript in blue, Rust in orange, Security in red, and so on.

Forge Live, Videos & Build Rooms

Ship, stream, and collaborate — all in one place. Video feed — share YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom links in a vertical scroll feed (free for everyone). Pro members can upload files directly with 10GB included. Go Live — stream directly from your browser and earn diamonds from viewer gifts. No OBS, no setup. Build Sessions — private video rooms with screen share, drag-and-drop file transfer, and real-time chat. Build in public or keep it small (Pro). The video feed supports upvotes, downvotes, comments, sharing, and community reporting. Videos with 3+ reports are auto-hidden for review. Find it all under Live Builds in the bottom nav.

Manage or cancel your Pro subscription from Settings

You can now cancel your Pro subscription or request a refund directly from Settings — no need to email support. Cancelling keeps access active until your next billing date. Refunds process through Stripe in 5-10 business days. A confirmation email is sent for both.

Screenshot analysis for emails and marketplace listings

New on the Security Check page: upload a screenshot of anything suspicious — an email, text message, Facebook Marketplace listing, or website — and AI analyzes it for phishing signals and scam patterns. It tells you whether it is safe, what red flags were found, and what to do next.

Security scanner overhauled

The security scanner now captures a baseline before running the target — only delta changes are reported. SSH ports and sandbox cron jobs no longer show as findings. Web URLs are visited, SSL checked, download links extracted, WHOIS shows domain age. Far more accurate.

Social distribution — approved tools now get broadcast automatically

When your tool is approved, we push it out to our social media channels. Posts are optimized for each platform — no action needed from you.

SEO transparency — see your visibility timeline at a glance

After approval, your listing page shows a breakdown of when each channel kicks in — from the Ship It Forge feed (instant) to Bing (24–48 hours) to Google rich results (1–4 weeks). We handle every technical step; the timelines show what depends on external crawl schedules.

iPhone & Android apps — free with Pro

Ship It Forge now has its own app in our marketplace — free for Pro subscribers. Visit shipitforge.com/install or find us in the App Store. Pro members see an Install button that walks them through in under a minute. Not Pro yet? Tap Free with Pro to get started for $5/mo.

Security scanning on every submission

Every submitted URL is checked against Google Safe Browsing before a listing goes live. Listings with uploaded binaries or installer packages go to manual review. All listings now show a signing badge — Signed & Notarized, Code Signed, or Unsigned — so you always know what you are installing.

Platform installs for Windows, Mac & Linux

Makers can now add per-platform installers to any listing — download URLs, terminal commands (apt, brew, winget, etc.), and binary file hosting for Pro members. Visitors see the right installer for their OS automatically. No more zip files with a README nobody reads.
